Utah skier Torjus Krogdahl has been named to the ESPN The Magazine Academic All-District VIII Men's At-Large First Team, announced by the College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA) Thursday. This was the second consecutive year Krogdahl has received the award.
Krogdahl, who has a 3.96 GPA in business, earned All-American status in both men's alpine events for the Utes and is now a four-time All-American over his career. The junior from Oslo, Norway, took fifth in the men's slalom competition after crossing the finish line in 1:42.70 and posted a seventh-place effort in the men's GS after turning in a time of 2:03.50.
Krogdhal helped Utah finish as the runner-up at the 2011 NCAA Championships.
Teammate Eva Huckova was selected to the ESPN The Magazine Academic All-District VIII Women's At-Large First Team.
Individuals are selected through voting by CoSIDA, a 2,000-member organization consisting of sports public relations professionals for colleges and universities in the United States and Canada.
