Utah is 2-1 in overtime games this season (wins at Oregon State and Stanford, loss at Arizona State).
Utah played its third overtime game of the season, the first time in its history it has played three overtime games in a year. Two games went into double overtime - Utah has played four double-overtime games in its history.
Utah held Stanford to 294 yards of total offense, the first time this season it has held an opponent below 300 yards of total offense. Stanford's Ty Montgomery, who entered the game ranked 15th in the NCAA in all-purpose yards (148.22) was held to just 68 total yards.
With 3.5 sacks, Nate Orchard has 16.5 for the season, setting a new Utah single-season sack record. He broke the previous school record of 15 (Jimmy Bellamy, 1991). Orchard also has 19 tackles for loss this season, which ties him for fourth-most all-time. Orchard has 23 career sacks and 36.5 career tackles for loss, both which are tied for fourth-most all-time at Utah. Orchard led Utah with 10 tackles, his third double-figure tackle game this season.
Nate Orchard also forced a fumble, his second this season. He has seven career forced fumbles, tying him for third-most all-time at Utah.
Tom Hackett dropped six of his nine punts inside the 20-yard line, including four punts inside the 10-yard line and two punts inside the five (6, 5, 2 and 3-yard lines). He has 18 punts inside the 10-yard line this year, and entered the game leading the nation in the category. Hackett averaged 44.7 yards per punt with a long punt of 54 yards.
Travis Wilson scored his second rushing touchdown of the season (11th career) in the second quarter with a two-yard run). Wilson went 21-for-28 passing for 177 yards (2 touchdowns, 0 interceptions). Both his touchdown passes came in overtime. Wilson has 13 touchdown passes this season. He passed Jordan Wynn (2009-12) for seventh-place all-time in career passing yards, and now has 4,696 for his career.
Kaelin Clay caught a 25-yard touchdown pass from Travis Wilson on the first play of overtime, his second receiving touchdown of the season. He had two catches for 31 yards. Clay also had 29 yards on kick returns and 22 yards on punt returns for 82 all-purpose yards.
Kenneth Scott scored his fourth receiving touchdown of the season in overtime on a three-yard reception, tying him for the team lead. Scott led Utah with 71 yards receiving (four catches), the third time this year he has gone over 70 yards receiving.
Devontae Booker led Utah in rushing (58 yards, 17 carries) and also had 41 yards receiving (nine catches) and led Utah with 99 all-purpose yards.
Marcus Williams forced a fumble in the third quarter, his second of the season. He had six tackles.
Eric Rowe recovered a fumble in the second quarter, his third career fumble recovery. He was second on the team with eight tackles.
Utah started two tight ends for the first time this season. Siale Fakailoatonga made his first start of the season (second career).
