COLLEGE STATION, Texas- The University of Utah swimming and diving team finished the third and final day at the Art Adamson Invitational. The Utes had a successful weekend with 22 NCAA qualifying times, three school records set and a men's team title.
"This was an exciting day," said Utah head coach Joe Dykstra. "Our women's team fought really hard and had a chance to finish fourth going into that final relay. Our men's team had a huge third day. To come in here and beat the hosts, Texas A&M, I can't begin to say how proud I am of the effort and spirit they showed today."
"Our divers also did a great job; Amanda Casillas finished third on the platform and Jacob Crayne finished fifth. We hit a bunch of NCAA standards. I couldn't be more excited for the men's team to come in hear and knock off a field that consisted of SEC and Pac-12 teams as well as a really good Air Force team. It is a great accomplishment and this will help boost us into the second half of the year."
