SALT LAKE CITY - Utah skier Veronika Mayerhofer was named the RMISA Women's Nordic MVP as nine Utes earned All-RMISA honors, announced on Wednesday by the conference.
Mayerhofer, who was also a first-team All-RMISA selection, has three wins in 10 races and hasn't finished lower than fourth this year. Also named to the first team for the second-straight season in women's Nordic was Sloan Storey, who has two podium and six top-five finishes this year. Storey finished second in the women's Nordic MVP voting.
The alpine women had three skiers named All-RMISA. Chloe Fausa earned first-team honors for the second time in her career while Ana Kobal and Kristiina Rove were both named to the second team. Fausa has two wins and four podium finishes this season. Kobal, who is a three-time all-conference honoree, has two podium and five top-10 finishes this year. Rove, who is also a three-time All-RMISA pick, has four podium and six top-five finishes this season.
For the men, Dominic Demschar was a first-team alpine selection in his first season. Demschar has one win and two podium finishes along with four top-10 finishes. Endre Bjertness, who was a second-team selection, has seven top-10 finishes this year with one podium result.
In men's Nordic, Niklas Persson earned first-team honors for the first time after being named to the second team the past two seasons. Persson has three podium and five top-five finishes this year. Noé Bellet was a second-team selection for the third-straight year. He has five top-10 finishes this year.
The Utes travel to the NCAA Championships from March 11-14 in Lake Placid, N.Y.
