SALT LAKE CITY - Utah senior skier Kristiina Rove has been selected to the Capital One Academic All-District At-Large team, selected by the College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA).
Rove will be placed on the national ballot for Academic All-America honors, which will be announced on June 11.
Rove, who has a 3.98 grade point average and is majoring in business administration, is a three-time All-American in the giant slalom (2013-15). The 2014 RMISA women's alpine MVP had two career victories for the Utes, in the in the slalom at the Colorado Invite and the RMISA Championship in 2014. She is a three-time All-RMISA skier, earning first-team honors in 2014. Rove had 12 career podium finishes during her career with 23 career top-5 finishes.
Rove is a member of Utah's Student-Athlete Advisory Committee and was twice named to the National Collegiate All-Academic Ski Team. She competed at the FIS Alpine World Championships in 2015 in the slalom and giant slalom races.
Individuals are selected through voting by CoSIDA, a 2,000-member organization consisting of sports public relations professionals for colleges and universities in the United States and Canada.
