Four Utes Advance at ITA Mountain Regionals

Two advance in singles and one doubles team also advances
ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. - Utah Women's Tennis had another successful day of action at the ITA Mountain Regionals on Friday with four student-athletes moving on to the quarterfinals.
In singles action, No. 8 seed Margo Pletcher defeated No. 13 seed Anna Bogaslavets of UNLV, 6-2, 6-2 to reach the quarterfinals of the main draw.
Over in the consolation bracket, Luisa Gerstner da Rosa rolled along with a win over Northern Arizona's Blanka Szavay, 6-2, 6-2 but Victoria Robertson fell to Idaho's Shion Watabe, 6-4, 6-1.
In doubles action, the No. 10 seeded team of Jena Cheng and Taylor Calton beat No. 15 seed Nuria Ormeno and Louise Ronaldson of Colorado, 8-7(8-4) and also advanced.
Both doubles and singles play continue tomorrow morning at the McKinnon Family Tennis Stadium. ITA Mountain Regional competition will continue until October 16th.Â
