Skiing's Endre Bjertness Named Academic All-District

SALT LAKE CITY - Utah sophomore skier Endre Bjertness has selected to the Academic All-District At-Large team, selected by the College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA).

Bjertness will be placed on the national ballot for Academic All-America honors, which will be announced in June.

Bjertness won the men's giant slalom national championship at the 2016 NCAA Ski Championships. He also finished 10th in the slalom to earn All-America honors in both events. In 2016 he had three wins, four podium finishes and eight top-10 finishes.

Bjertness is a three-time All-American. He also earned All-America honors in 2015, finishing sixth in the GS.

Individuals are selected through voting by CoSIDA, a 2,000-member organization consisting of sports public relations professionals for colleges and universities in the United States and Canada.
