BOZEMAN, Mont. - Utah skiers

Mohagen led the way with a fifth-place finish for the women, followed by Remme in sixth. Utah's third scorer was
Chloe Fausa in 17th.
Sabine Krautgasser placed 20th while
Lauren Samuels was 31st and
Abby Ghent 32nd.
For the men,
Endre Bjertness led the Utes with an eighth-place run for his third top 10 finish of the season.
Martin Grasic and
Joergen Brath placed 15th and 16th, respectively.
Sam Dupratt was 25th with
Ty Sprock in 26th.
Sasha Zaitsoff and
Dominic Demschar did not finish their first runs.
"Today was a little rough for us," Utah head alpine coach
Jaka Korencan said. "We had three very strong finishes with Julie, Roni and Endre finishing in the top 10. And a fantastic first run by Joergen who has shown that he can ski slalom very well but he didn't adjust to rougher conditions second run. Unfortunately the rest of the team under performed or made costly mistakes. We definitely have some work to do in slalom, but the team is motivated and willing to put in the work it will take to get us on top!"
Colorado leads the Montana State Invitational with 334 points, followed by Denver (308) with Utah third with 286.5 points. Montana State (270.5) and Westminster (246) round out the top five.
The Utes get back at it this weekend, as Utah hosts the alpine portion of the Utah Invitational at Snowbasin beginning with the women's giant slalom on Thursday, Jan. 12. The Nordic team heads to the Montana State Invitational with the freestyle races starting on Saturday, Jan. 14.
