Offensive tackle Darrin Paulo caught a one-yard touchdown reception in the third quarter, his first career touchdown. Utah's last offensive lineman to score a touchdown was Isaac Asiata, who fell on a fumble in the end zone against USC in 2016.
 Matt Gay went 2-for-3 in field goals with makes of 23 and 34 yards and a miss of 43 yards. He is 19-of-22 in field goals this year (86-percent.
 Mitch Wishnowsky dropped all three of his punts inside the 20-yard line, including a punt at the five-yard line.
 Demari Simpkins had his first career kick returns (3 returns, 72 yards). He had a punt return last year.
 Chase Hansen led Utah with 11 tackles.
 Marquise Blair had a career-high 10 tackles (1.0 TFL).
 Kylie Fitts had a career-high eight tackles (1.0 sack).
 Leki Fotu recovered a fumble in the first quarter, his first career fumble recovery. He had two tackles.
