LOS ANGELES - Utah Diving saw two more competitors earn top-10 finishes during the second day of the Bruin Invitational.
On the platform, junior
Daniel Theriault placed seventh with a final total of 608.55. He also finished seventh yesterday in the three-meter. He was joined in the top 10 by
Jenner Pennock as the freshman moved up two spots from the prelims to finish ninth (542.35). Pennock now ranks seventh all-time among Ute divers in the platform and Theirault moved up to fifth all-time.
In the women's three-meter event, freshman
Emma Ruchala improved on her score in the prelims and placed 15th overall (538.40). Classmate
Clare Greenlow was 17th with a cumulative score of 506.75.
"We had a great second day here as Daniel was able to secure a spot at NCAA Zones with a personal best in the finals," head coach
Richard Marschner said. "Emma and Clare competed extremely well in this competitive meet to earn spots in the final as freshmen. I am really happy with how we did today and looking forward to a strong finish tomorrow."
Action continues tomorrow at the Spieker Aquatics Center at 10 a.m. PT with the women's platform and men's one-meter events.
