Dupratt, Breuning Lead Utah in Giant Slalom at MSU Invitational

BOZEMAN, Mont. – Sam Dupratt finished second in the men's race and Ann-Kathrin Breuning was fourth for the women to lead the Utah ski team in the giant slalom on the first day of the Montana State Invitational. Utah is third overall after day one of the meet.
 
Dupratt's second-place finish is his first podium of the season and his sixth career podium. Huston Philp finished 11th for the Utes and Ty Sprock was Utah's third points scorer in 13th. Utah's men had the second highest points total of the race with 75 points. Linus Walch and Martin Grasic did not finish their first runs.
 
For the women, it was Breuning's second top-five finish of the season. Julie Mohagen finished 14th with Sabine Krautgasser 23rd.
 
Utah has 133 points in the meet, trailing New Mexico (173) and Denver (153). Colorado is fourth with 129 points with host Montana State in fifth (121).
