STANFORD, Calif. – Utah Women's Swimming and Diving fell to No. 1 Stanford this evening, 193-99, in the Pac-12 opener for both teams
The Utes had a pair of individual winners this evening, one in the pool and another on the boards. Senior captain
Darby Wayner captured the 200 IM in 2:05.51 and
Emma Ruchala won the one-meter dive with a score of 248.10
The event ended with a victory as the 200 free relay was also victorious.
Aryanna Fernandes,
Gillian St. John,
Audrey Reimer and
Sarah Lott won the event with a time of 1:35.72
In her first collegiate meet,
Emma Lawless impressed in the 100 fly with the 10
th-fastest time in Utah history, 54.86
Reimer and St. John were back at it in individual events. The newcomer placed third in the 100 back (56.13) and 200 back (2:02.34) and the senior went third in the 50 free (23.75).
Genny Robertson also took a pair of third-place finishes in the 100 breast (1:03.66) and 200 breast (2:16.85)
The Utes are back in the pool tomorrow at No. 2 Cal.
