Little and Ruchala Shine on Second Day of Mizzou Invite

Both reach evening finals in respective events
COLUMBIA, Mo. - Rylan Little and Emma Ruchala each qualified for the finals this evening in their respective events on the second day of the Mizzou Invite.
"Emma and Rylan making finals was a big step forward for us and allowed them to gain some good experience diving in a big meet," head coach Richard Marschner said. "Daniel Theriault had another solid performance with another personal best."
Little had an impressive showing in the three meter. During the morning prelims, he put together a score of 301.40 and was the last person to qualify for the evening finals. He improved under the lights, taking seventh overall.
One night after making the finals in the one meter, Theriault was in the consolation finals of the three meter. He improved his score from the morning with a final tally of 308.80 and was the runner-up, taking 10th overall.
After earning the top score among the Ute women last evening, Ruchala put together another strong performance on Friday. She qualified for the evening finals in the one meter with a score of 261.10 and then finished eighth overall.
Diving events continue tomorrow at the Mizzou Aquatic Center. Preliminary diving action starts at 10:30 a.m. tomorrow with finals slated to start at 6 p.m. Admission to all sessions is free.
