SAN FRANCISCO – The Utah women's cross country team had nine student-athletes named to the Pac-12 All-Academic team, the league announced on Wednesday. Utah had a total of four runners named to the first and second teams, along with five athletes named honorable mention.
Redshirt freshman

Anna Busatto, along with sophomores
Astrid Lindgren and
Natalie Platil were tabbed second team members. Sophomores
Aubrey Argyle and
Emma Christensen, juniors
Sarah Feeny and
Sarah Newton, and senior
Sadie Wassum were each named honorable mention.
This marks the third Pac-12 All-Academic honor for Wassum (2015, 2016) and the second for Feeny (2015), while Woolnough, Busatto, Lindgren, Platil, Argyle, Christensen and Newton were tabbed cross country all-academic for the first time in their careers.
Utah set a new school mark for first and second team members with a total of four in 2018, surpassing 2017's previous record of three student-athletes. Utah ranked second among the Pac-12 schools with nine total accolades, just one athlete shy of Colorado's mark of 10 runners on this year's squad. Stanford, Oregon State and Cal followed Utah with seven total members.
To be eligible for selection to the academic team, a student-athlete must have a minimum 3.0 overall grade-point average and be either a starter or significant contributor.
