SALT LAKE CITY – Both Utah diving teams will travel to Los Angeles this weekend for the Trojan Invitational. The Utes will compete on Saturday and Sunday with events beginning at 11 a.m.
The men's contingent will consist of
Daniel Theriault and
Rylan Little while the women's squad will be Cassie Boyd, Makenzie Caufield, Claire Greenlow and Emma Ruchala. The Utes will compete against USC, Cal Poly, UCLA, Fresno State, UC San Diego, CSU Bakersfield, Azusa Pacific, San Jose State, UNLV and the Tianjing Diving Club.
The women's three-meter and men's platform events will be held on Saturday with the women's platform and men's one-meter events to occur on Sunday
Greenlow, Ruchala and Theriault represented the Utes at last year's NCAA Zone Diving Championships. Greenlow and Ruchala were both freshmen making their first trip. Greenlow ranks eighth all-time in the one meter at Utah and finished 13
th at the 2018 Pac-12 Championships. Ruchala is ninth all-time in the three meter for the Utes and Cauield is 10th in the platform.
Theriault's top showing last season was at the Bruin Diving Invite across town and moved him into fifth all-time in the platform event. He also earned a ninth-place finish at the Pac-12 Championships.
