MINTURN, Colo. – Guro Jordheim won the 5-km classic to sweep the women's Nordic races at the Denver Invitational on Sunday as the Utah ski team finished fourth overall.
Martin Bergström finished second in the men's 10-km classic.
Jordheim has won a league-high five races this year. She also won yesterday's 5-km freestyle and has eight podium finishes this year.
Mariah Bredal finished 12
th,
Leah Lange placed 13
th while
Karianne Moe finished 19
th.
For the men, Bergström earned his sixth top-two finish this year. He has seven podium finishes on the season.
Logan Diekmann finished 12
th,
Håkon Hjelstuen placed 13
th and
Bjørn Riksaasen was 15
th for the Utes.
Jacob Engström finished 20
th on the day.
Utah had 556.5 points for fourth place, trailing Colorado (657), Denver (590.5) and Montana State (583.5). New Mexico finished fifth (482).
The Utah ski team has off this weekend before the RMISA Championships begin on Feb. 23.
