SALT LAKE CITY – The University of Utah women's tennis team tallied two wins today, defeating the University of Denver 4-2, and then beat out Weber State to end the day with a score of 4-1. With these two wins, the Utes have now moved to 5-1 overall on the season.
"Today was a very good win over Denver," said head coach
Mat Iandolo. "Generally, the match between us and Denver is for superiority in the mountain region. So, it was good to beat them after the last couple times losing close matches to them. That win then propelled us to the victory over Weber State, and hopefully the win over Denver helps us with NCAA qualification at the end of the season."
