FEDERAL Way, Wash. -Â A new school standard was set and a handful of Utes made their marks on the Utah record books during the third night of the Pac-12 Women's Swimming Championships.
In the first event of the evening session,
Jordan Anderson shattered her own school record in the 400 IM, winning the "B" final with a time of 4:08.31.
Christina Pick reached the "C" final and finished with a time of 4:20.67.
Another impressive performance was turned in by
Genny Robertson as she also won a "B" final. In the 100 breast, the junior from Ontario swam a PR time of 1:01.00, third fastest in Utah history.
Darby Wayner was also in the "B" final, finishing third in the heat. She swam a time of 1:01.29 the prelims, the fourth-fastest time in Utah history. In the "C" final,
Mariah Gassaway finished second with a time of 1:03.00
In the 200 free,
Dorien Butter reached the "C" final for the second year in a row. She finished third in the heat with a time of 1:46.91, a PR for the senior and third-fastest time in Utah history. In her first Pac-12 Championship,
Ianire Casarin swam a 1:47.99 in the prelims, the sixth-fastest mark in Utah history, and qualified for the "C" final.
The 100 back saw
Emma Broome finish 13th overall with a NCAA B cut time of 54.22.
Sarah Lott also swam a NCAA B cut time of 54.31 in the prelims. After winning the "C" final in 2017, she qualified for the "B" final this year.
Earlier in the day, Broome was in the 100 fly, swimming the eighth-fastest time in Utah history during the prelims (54.59). She was joined by Pick in the "C" final with a time of 54.84.
In the final event of the evening, Broome, Robertson, Wayner and Butter placed sixth in the 400 medley relay with a time of 3:38.27,
On the boards,
Daniel Theriault narrowly missed the platform finals, placing ninth with a score of 265.95.
Clare Greenlow finished 14th in the three meter with a score of 252.40.
The final day of the Pac-12 Championships will begin at 10:30 a.m. PT with the prelims of the 200 back, 100 free, 200 breast and 200 fly. The finals of those events will get underway at 6 p.m. along with the 1650 free and 400 free relay

In diving, the women's platform prelims will start at 12:30 p.m. PT with the finals during the evening session's swim break.
