th place with a 54-hole score of 2-under par (71-70-70=211).
ABOVE AVERAGE
Junior
Kyler Dunkle and freshman
Blake Tomlinson head into the Pac-12 Championships currently ranking second and third, respectively, for the lowest single season scoring average all-time at Utah. Dunkle currently has a scoring average of 71.4 for the 2017-18 season, while Tomlinson sits at 71.5 heading into the Pac-12 Championships. The Ute duo ranks behind
Dustin Pimm, who holds the school record with a scoring average of 71.2 during the 2005-06 season.
UP TO PAR
•
Kyler Dunkle has registered 16 rounds at par or better during his junior season, which surpasses his previous mark of 15 rounds shooting par or better he recorded last season as a sophomore. As a sophomore, he notched 15 rounds in 13 events, but has passed that mark in four less events this year as he has competed in nine tournaments thus far.
•
Jordan Costello is just one round at par or better away from matching his mark he posted during his freshman year last season, which was 14 rounds. Costello has 13 rounds at par or better heading into the Pac-12 Championships.
QUOTABLE
"It is great to be competing in the Pac-12 Championships this coming week," Ute head coach
Garrett Clegg said. "It is a storied championship. Four of our six players competed in last year's championships and know the pressures to expect. Last week in Tempe, we were able to get ourselves back on track and gain confidence from our performance."
