BOZEMAN, Mont. – Addison Dvoracek won his third race of the season for the men while
Eirin Engeset earned her third podium of the season in the women's race as the Utah ski team competed in the RMISA giant slalom qualifier in Montana on Thursday afternoon.
The RMISA giant slalom qualifier, which does not count towards any team scoring and is used as an extra opportunity for skiers to earn qualification points for the NCAA Championships at the end of the season.
Dvoracek has won three of the four races held this season.
Huston Philp placed fifth for his best career finish.
Ty Sprock finished 12
th, his second top-15 finish of the year.
Fredrik Maurstad tied his best finish with a 15
th-place run while
Tomas Birkner de Miguel placed 17
th in his best collegiate finish.
Martin Grasic placed 24
th.
Linus Walch and
Joachim Bakken Lien did not finish their first runs.
Engeset, who placed third, has finished on the podium in three of five races this season.
Roni Remme finished 11
th while Kate Vesterstein was 22
nd.
Katie Parker and
Julie Mohagen did not finish their first runs.
The Utes return to the Montana State Invitational on Friday, as the alpine teams compete in the slalom races and the Nordic teams compete in the freestyle races. Utah currently stands sixth overall at the meet.
