Keeffe Strong at FIS Nordic Junior World Ski Championships

LAHTI, Finland – Utah freshman Nordic skier Noel Keeffe has been strong at the FIS Nordic Junior World Ski Championships, reaching the semifinals of the sprint classic race on Sunday while finishing 58th in the 10-km freestyle on Tuesday.
Keeffe finished 12th overall in the classic sprint. He was second among Americans and finished fourth among Norwegians, third amongst Russians and Finns and second amongst Swedes, Italians and French. He finished ahead of any skiers from Switzerland, Austria, Germany, Slovenia, the Czech Republic, Estonia, Croatia, Japan, Ukraine and Canada among other countries.
The championships continue with the men's 30-km classic on Thursday, Jan. 24, and closes with the 4x5-km relay on Saturday, Jan. 26. Full results can be found here.
