• Utah's shutout against California tonight is its first against a Pac-12 opponent since joining the conference in 2011.
• Utah is the first team to shut out its opponent in the first half of three-straight Pac-12 Conference games within one season since Washington in 1991 (Elias Sports Bureau).
• Utah has shut out its opponent in eight halves of football this season (Northern Illinois 2nd, Idaho State 1st and 2nd; Washington State 2nd, Oregon State 1st, Arizona State 1st, California 1st and 2nd).
• Utah last had two shutouts in a season in 2003 (BYU and Southern Miss).

• Utah won its ninth consecutive home game and its 11th of its last 12 at Rice-Eccles Stadium. It is Utah's longest home winning streak since winning 21 in a row (second-longest in school history) from Sept. 15, 2007 through Oct. 23, 2010.

• Utah held California to 43 total plays on offense, which ranks third in school history for fewest total plays in a game by an opponent.
• Cal was held to 83 yards of total offense, which is fifth in program history for fewest yards by an opponent. Utah held the Bears to 23 rushing yards and 60 passing yards.
• Utah has held seven of its eight opponents in 2019 under 100 yards rushing.
• California only crossed the 50-yard line once and did not advance beyond its own 37 offensively after its second possession.
• Utah held Cal on 5 of its 9 full possessions to either single-digit yards gained (3 times) or negative yards (2).
• The Utes dominated defensively but did not record a takeaway for the first time in their last 16 games. The streak of 15 games with a takeaway was fourth-longest in the FBS entering this week's games.

• Utah dominated the second quarter, outscoring California 21-0 and out-gaining Cal 220-9 with an 11:56-3:04 advantage in time of possession.

• Utah's first offensive touchdown of the game came on a 99-yard scoring drive (seven plays) with Zack Moss scoring on a four-yard rush. It was the first 99-yard scoring drive since a 99-yard drive (11 plays) against Stanford on Oct. 12, 2013, which culminated with a three-yard rush by Dres Anderson.
• Utah also had a 90-yard scoring drive (10 plays) in the game. Utah last had two 90-plus scoring drives against Arizona on Nov. 5, 2011 (90 yards, 5 plays and 92 yards, seven plays). Utah's two 90-yard drives tonight gives the Utes three 90+ yard drives this season.

• Zack Moss broke the Utah school record for career rushing touchdowns with a four-yard score in the first quarter, his 32nd career rushing touchdown, passing Del Rogers (1978-81). He also scored on a 10-yard run in the third quarter to bring his career total to 33 (10th this season)
• Moss also broke the school record for 100-yard rushing games, recording 115 yards rushing (17 carries) for his 15th career 100-yard rushing game, passing John White (2011-12) and Devontae Booker (2014-15) for the record.
• Moss set a career high in receiving yards for the second-straight week with 89 yards (three catches). He led Utah in both rushing and receiving two-straight weeks.

• Brant Kuithe scored his third touchdown of the year with a 1-yard reception in the second quarter (fourth career).
• It's the first time since 2015 a Utah tight end has had three touchdowns in a season (Harrison Handley had four scores in 2015).

• Bryan Thompson scored on a 40-yard touchdown reception, his third touchdown reception of the year. Of Utah's four longest receiving touchdowns this season, two have been scored by Thompson (he also had an 82-yard reception against Idaho State).

• Tyler Huntley was 11-of-17 passing (1 TD, 0 INT) for 214 yards, reaching the 6,000-yard career passing mark (6,037). He is the fifth quarterback in Utah history to reach 6,000 yards, joining Travis Wilson (7,403, 2012-15), Mike McCoy (7,404, 1992-94), Brian Johnson (7,853, 2004-08) and Scott Mitchell (8,981, 1987-89).
• Huntley passed Larry Egger (469, 1985-86) for fifth all-time on the Utah career completions list. He has 476 career completions.
• Huntley had his 17th career 200-yard passing game, breaking a tie for fifth all-time with Frank Dolce (1991-92), Mike Fouts (1995-96) and Travis Wilson (2012-15).
• Huntley also captured his 19th career win as a Ute, breaking the tie with Mike McCoy (18-9, 1992-94) for fourth all-time at Utah in career wins.Â

• Jason Shelley rushed for a 1-yard touchdown (1st season, 4th career) and passed for a 1-yard touchdown (1st season, 6th career), both in the second quarter. Shelley last both rushed and threw for a touchdown against BYU last season (Nov. 24, 2018).

• Attendance was 46,626, the 62nd-straight sellout at Rice-Eccles Stadium since the 2010 season opener. It is the 58th standing-room only crowd in that streak. It is Utah's highest attendance of the season and ranks ninth all-time at Utah.
