After a great start to the 2019-20 indoor season, the Utah track and field team continues the season this weekend at the Jackson's Open. The meet is slated to kick off at 9 a.m. (MT) with the field events followed by the track events beginning at 11 a.m.

THE FIELD
Joining Utah this weekend at the Jackson's Open will be host Boise State, Central Washington, College of Idaho, Eastern Oregon, Northwest Nazarene, Saint Martin and Washington State. The Utes look to have another great weekend after opening the indoor season with several PRs broken as well as a school record in the 55m dash from
Taylor Watson.

Caitlin Faust will see action for the first time this season after redshirting last year.
Whitney Hessler will also make her first appearance this season since the end of the outdoor season this past spring. Meanwhile,
Jasie York and
Oneillia Fuller will make their indoor season debuts for Utah. York is a freshman hailing from Cedar City, Utah, while Fuller comes to the U by way of Savannah State.

TOP OF THE MOUNTAIN
After breaking her own school record in the 55m dash last weekend,
Taylor Watson's mark of 7.00 stands as the top time in NCAA Division I heading into the second week of the indoor season. The Aurora, Colo., product is one of four underclassmen to own a top mark in an event early on in the season.

After this weekend, the Utah track and field team will get a nice holiday break before returning to action on Jan. 10 for the
Lauren McCluskey Multis hosted by Idaho.
