• Utah ends its season with an 11-3 record, the third time Utah has had over 10 wins in a season (13-0 in 2008, 12-0 in 2004).
• Utah falls to 11-3 in bowl games under Kyle Whittingham. His .786 bowl win percentage ranks fifth all-time in NCAA history.
• Utah falls to 17-6 all-time in bowl games. Utah had not dropped back-to-back bowl games since the 1992 and 1993 seasons (1992 Copper Bowl vs. Washington State, 31-28 loss; 1993 Freedom Bowl vs. USC, 28-21 loss).
• Javelin K. Guidry had his first pick of the season (third career) in the second quarter.
• Bradlee Anae broke the Utah career record for sacks with a half sack in the first quarter, bringing his career total to 30 and breaking a tie at the top with Hunter Dimick (29.5, 2013-16). He has 13 sacks on the year, which ties him for fifth all-time with John Frank (1999).
• Jadon Redding made a 32-yard field goal in the third quarter, raising his field goal record to 10-of-13 for the year.
• Ben Lennon punted a season-high seven times (330 yards, 47.1 avg.).
