SALT LAKE CITY – Luke McDivitt had the top performance during the first evening of the Utah Diving Invitational on Friday.
The freshman took second in the 3m with a score of 393.20 with teammate
Tony Chen right behind him in third place (362.85).
Chase Hindmarsh would finish sixth overall with a score of 286.10.
"It is exciting that this is the first 3m event I've done really well with," McDivitt said. "I had no big misses and if anything, I hit some big dives. It is a huge confidence boost."
In the women's 1m,
Emma Ruchala paced the Utes, placing fourth with a score of 267.95.
Lizzy DeCecco was fifth with a 263.75 score and
Regan Caufield also placed in the top 10 with a final mark of 243.95.
Diving action continues tomorrow at Don Reddish Pool beginning at 4:30 p.m.
