The Basics: The Utah women's basketball program is set to host the L.A. schools this week, starting with its Friday night matchup against the USC Trojans. The game is Utah's annual

PINK getting
FREE admission. The game will tip off at 7 p.m. MT.
How to Tune In:The game against USC will air on Pac-12 Mountain. Fans can also catch the game in action on the radio with Tyson Ewing calling the shots on ESPN 700.
Game Promotion: Utah's game against the Trojans will be its annual
PINK GAME with fans that wear Pink receiving free admission. The Utes will also be celebrating National Girls & Women in Sports Day with an open forum Q&A featuring current and former female student-athletes starting at 5:45 p.m. in the Jon M. and Karen Huntsman Basketball Facility. The event is open to the public with more information available at UtahUtes.com.
The Opponent: The USC Trojans enter the game 13-8 overall and 3-7 in Pac-12 play with two of their three conference games coming last weekend against Washington and Washington State. They have won three of their last five games, including a big win at UCLA on Jan. 20 that broke a five-game losing streak. They have three players averaging double figures, led by Minyon Moore who is putting up 14.8 points and 6.4 assists per game. Aliyah Mazyck is adding 14.4 points per game with Minyon's sister Mariya Moore chipping in 11.9.
Next Up: The Utes have a quick turnaround as they host the UCLA Bruins on Sunday, Feb. 10 at 12 p.m. The game will air on Pac-12 Networks, Pac-12 Mountain and Pac-12 Los Angeles.

Three Pointers:
• Utah jumped into the AP Top 25 for the first time since 2008. Utah's highest AP ranking was No. 11 in 1998. The Utes were the only team in the top-25 to play three straight top-10 teams.
• Utah's seven Pac-12 Freshman of the Week honors is the second most by a program in a season and it is just the second time in Pac-12 history that a program has had three separate student-athletes win.
• The Utes jumped into the top-10 nationally in assists per game, averaging 18.0 which ranks 10
thin the NCAA and second in the Pac-12.
Last Time Out: With seven lead changes and eight ties, the Utes and the No. 9 Oregon State Beavers battled it out until the final minute on Sunday afternoon with Oregon State coming out on top, 71-63. Utah cut the Oregon State lead to four late in the game, but was unable to close the gap.
Megan Huff finished the game with 17 points and 12 rebounds, her third straight double-double with
Sarah Porter (11 pts) and
Kiana Moore (10 pts) also putting up double-digits.
Utah vs. The Pac-12: The Utes are 112-151 against the current members of the Pac-12. Since joining the Pac-12 in 2011-12, Utah is 51-85 in conference play.
A History In Rankings: Utah entered the AP Top 25 at No. 21 before Utah's home games against the Bay Area. It was the first time the Utes have been ranked since 2008 with the highest AP ranking for the Utes coming in at No. 11 in 1998.

Huff on the Double: Megan Huff has notched a double-double in 12 games this season, including in the last three against top-10 teams, tying for 17th nationally while also ranking second in the Pac-12. She has 18 double-doubles since becoming a Ute and 23 in her career (5 at Hawaii).
Balanced Attack: Of the eight players eligible for competition this season, six have led the Utes in scoring on at least one occasion with all eight of its players scoring in double digits at least once.
Increasing from Three: In conference play alone, the Utes have two players ranked in the top-10 in the league in three-point percentage.
Kiana Moore is fifth (.459) and
Andrea Torres has moved into sixth (.433). Torres has hit at least one three-pointer in seven of Utah's 10 Pac-12 games this season.
Bean on the Line: Despite not being ranked in the Pac-12 because of attempt total,
Erika Bean leads the Utes in free throw percentage this season (min. 20 attempts) at 84-percent. She hasn't missed a free throw since Utah's game against Weber State (Dec. 15).
The Team That Passes Together: Utah currently ranks 10th nationally (2nd in the Pac-12) in assists per game, averaging 18.0. Of Utah's eight eligible players, five are averaging over 1.0 assists a game with two being ranked in the top-10 in the Pac-12 (
Dru Gylten, 3rd;
Erika Bean, 5th). Utah has had 15 or more assists in 19 of its 21 games, including in eight straight.
Dre on the Block: Dre'Una Edwards is currently the only freshman in the Pac-12 averaging over one block per game. She ranks fourth overall and first among freshmen in blocks (27) and has led the Utes in the category in 10 games this season.
