SALT LAKE CITY – The Utah women's swim team will hold its final home meet of the 2018-19 season this Saturday when it hosts Oregon State. Competition begins at 11 a.m.
The Utes will honor its senior student-athletes on the women's swimming team.

Darby Wayner three events as the Utes crushed BYU in the annual Deseret First Duel. The senior took the 100 breast in 1:03.31, the 200 breast in 2:20.83 and the 200 IM in 2:06.72. She was not the only multi-event winner on the day asÂ

Sara McClendon made significant impacts for the Utes.
McClendon exceled in her distance events, winning the 1000 free in 10:18.06 and 500 free in 5:03.15. Lott won the 100 back in 54.93 and 200 back in 2:00.16 and Fernandes topped the 200 fly in 2:02.46 and then returned to take the 100 fly in 54.94.

After a pair of wins last night, Casarin picked up another victory today, rolling in the 200 free with a time of 1:52.28. Meanwhile on the boards,Â
Emma Ruchala added to her win in the three meter on Friday with success in the 1 meter today (275.78).

Outshining OSU
The Utah women's swimming team rolled to a 143-93 victory over Oregon State last season.
Darby Wayner collected a pair of wins for the Utes in the 100 and 200 breast events. Classmate
Gillian St. John started her afternoon by swimming the third leg of the triumphant 200 medley relay. Then, after finishing second in the 50 free, she won the 200 IM (2:08.27).
Sarah Lott impressed for Utah with a win in the 100 back (55.77) and a runner-up spot in the 200 back.
Ianire Casarin won the 100 free in 52.31 and finished third in the 100 breast. Meanwhile,Â
Gabby Fagan captured the 200 free (1:54.02) and was fourth in the 100 free. Casarin and Fagan combined withÂ

Sara McClendon, who captured the 500 free in 5:00.69 and was third in the 200 fly, andÂ

Swimming and Diving Captures CSCAA Academic Awards
The College Swimming Coaches Association of America honored both Utah Swimming and Diving squads as Scholar All-America Teams.

The Utah women had a 3.19 grade point average during the fall to earn its 12th-straight CSCAA team academic award. The men's team had a 3.23 GPA during the fall, its best total for a semester since spring '15. It has earned a CSCAA award 11 of the last 12 semesters.

The women's team has its final dual meet of the season next week in Pullman, Wash. The Utes and Cougars will compete on Saturday, starting at 11 a.m. PT
