SALT LAKE CITY - The Utah lacrosse team kicks off a week-long spring break road trip with a challenge against second-ranked Duke on Tuesday, March 12, at 7:00 p.m. ET/5:00 p.m. MT.
The game will be aired on
ACC Network/Watch ESPN. Live stats are
available here.
The trip continues with Fairfield on Friday (March 15) and Massachusetts on Sunday (March 17).
"We'll take it one day and one opponent at a time," Utah head coach
Brian Holman said. "We set it up this way on purpose. We're grateful that Duke is having us come in. They are one of the top programs in the country and we have so much respect for them. That's going to be a really great challenge for our guys.
"I love traveling with these guys. The staff does a wonderful job on these trips. It just gives us more time to bond and grow and get to know each other and have fun. The guys should be a little bit more relaxed because it's spring break. We're going to make the best out of the trip. Excited to see some old friends in Chapel Hill."
The Utes are on a three-game win streak after defeating Bellarmine on Friday in its first home game since February. Utah is 4-3 on the season.
"One thing I told them in the huddle afterwards is to relish the wins," Holman said. "Never get used to winning. I don't sense that they have. I think that they appreciate that we can compete and win games but as we know, there's a lot of things we can do to get better. That's ultimately the objective here. How do we continue to push forward and get a little bit better. I think this week might help with that. Playing the top teams is how you get better."
