"We had a little void in our schedule and Coach Copelan stepped in and he helped us out," Utah head coach
Brian Holman said of Fairfield. "We're going up to UMass, Coach Manny's alma mater, and I have so much respect for that program and Coach Cannella. They exude a lot of what we hope to become in toughness and grittiness.
"It's a good representation of teams we admire and teams we want to look like, and what better way for our guys to learn but by playing them."
Also airing this week is the ESPN special 'Utah Lacrosse, Building A Program' which will premiere on Thursday, March 14, on ESPNU at 7:00 p.m. ET (5:00 p.m. MT).
The Utes (4-4) are coming off a strong game against second-ranked Duke. Utah led the game late in the first half and the contest was tied at halftime before Duke pulled ahead in the third quarter. The Utes have won three of their last four games.
