LOS ANGELES, Calif., PALO ALTO, Calif., & HAYWARD, Calif.– A busy weekend comes to an end for the Utah track and field team as they completed competition at the Stanford Invite, Mark Fanelli Track Classic and Jim Bush Legends Invite on Saturday. For the day, the Utes totaled five new personal records and a new school record in the 4x100-meter race.Â

At the Jim Bush Legends Classic, the Utah 'A' squad set a new school record in the 4x100-meter race finishing in fourth-place with a time of 46.00. The Utah 'A' squad was made up of
Raynee Helm-Wheelock,
Jackie Martin,
Maya LeBar and
Taylor Watson.Â

J. Martin also competed in the 400-meter dash where she set a new personal-record capturing third-place in a time of 55.72. This time moves J. Martin into eighth-place all-time in the event. Senior
Mesa Weidle followed in finishing in 10th-place in a time of 57.35. J. Martin had another strong showing competing in the 200-meter dash with freshmen LeBar and Watson. J. Martin earned a fifth-place finish tying her personal-best time of 24.87. LeBar captured seventh in a personal-best time of 24.97 and moved herself into a tie for seventh all-time in the event. Watson finished in 12th with a time of 25.22.Â

Moving to the 800-meter race, sophomore
Whitney Hessler set a new personal-record finishing in third-place with a time of 2:09.81. Freshman
Brooklyn James ran just off her pace to earn a fifth-place finish in a time of 2:13.64.Â

Skyler Blair led the Utes in the 400-meter hurdles finishing with a new personal-best time of 1:01.68 to capture a fourth-place finish. Junior
Brooke Martin place 19th with a time of 1:07.46.Â

In the 100-meter dash, Watson finished in ninth-place in a time of 12.09 while Helm-Wheelock posted a time of 12.34 to earn 18th-place.Â

Sophomore
Regan Crofts had a strong outing in the javelin as she posted a throwing distance of 134'0" (40.86m) in her first attempt to earn a third-place finish. Senior transfer
Kolbi Sims competed in the 100-meter hurdles and long jump events on Saturday. Sims finished the 100-meter hurdle race in a time of 14.87 to earn 17th-place and recorded a jumping distance of 18'9.75" (5.73m) in her first attempt to finish in sixth-place.Â

At the Stanford Invite, junior
Sarah Newton led Utah in the 800-meter race as she recorded a new personal-best time of 2:06.72 earning a seventh-place finish. This time places Newton seventh all-time at Utah. Freshman
Brooke Manson posted a time of 2:09.80 to finish in 23rd.Â

Senior
Sadie Wassum was the lone competitor for the Utes at the Mark Fanelli Track Classic on Saturday competing in the 800-meter event. Wassum finished in 15th in a time of 2:12.63. Â

"What a great day and we all get a much-deserved weekend without competition as we will rest a prepare to host our only home meet in two weeks," head coach
Kyle Kepler said. "There is still lots of room for us to improve, but we have to take advantage of the next two weeks across the board."
