FEDERAL WAY, Wash. - The Utah men's swimming team saw another relay record fall on a successful evening at the Pac-12 Championships.
Austin Phillips,
Liam O'Haimhirgin,
Clay Stoddard and
Rodolfo Moreira took third place in the 200 free relay with a time of 1:17.11, breaking a record set earlier this year. They became the second Utah relay to ever reach the podium at the conference's showcase event.
"I am really excited for the guys," head coach
Joe Dykstra said. "We had a lot of great times today to go along with another school record in the relay. It was Utah's first relay to make a podium in five years and that one was aided by a disqualification."
The four Utes were back at it in the 50 free. Phillips took fifth overall with the second fastest-time in Utah history (19.43) and
O'Haimhirgin swam a NCAA provisional time of 19.74 to take
12th.
Moreira finished
15th in 19.92 while Stoddard was in the "C" final and swam a NCAA provisional time of 19.89.
Felix Chiun also qualified for the "C" final this evening with a swim of 20.18 in prelims.

Rahiti De Vos finishing in the top 10 with the second-fastest time in Utah history (4:16.27).
Nick Becker swam the third-fastest time in Ute history during the prelims (4:18.46) and would eventually take
12th.
Tyler Klawiter (4:24.49) and
