The Utes will honor a trio of seniors in
Cam Redmond,
Daniel Costa and
Aidan Christian. All three played on the club team last season with Redmond playing four years on the club team before making the NCAA team while Costa and Christian both transferred to Utah.
The Utes are looking to close their season on a high note despite recent struggles.
"Our season could not have gone any better and going through all the things you deal with is part of the process – losing tough games, winning close games, injuries," head coach
Brian Holman said. "Everyone gets different hands and if we're true to who we are then we'll find a way to battle and get better. That's the biggest thing, just constantly finding a way to get better. I think out of all the things last Saturday, that was the only game that I didn't feel like we got better. That's something that I am not going to let happen this week. I addressed it with the guys and whatever that was, it would be a shame for it to carry over into this week, and I don't think the guys want to feel like that again. For how hard they've worked and how much respect they've gained, it could all be lost if they don't go out and put their best put forward this weekend. There's something telling me that Saturday's going to be a good day, that we got that game out of our system and we'll be better. We'll close this chapter and start writing another one next week. The future is bright."
Of the 15 Division I men's lacrosse teams that have made their debut since 2010, the Utes are the fifth to win at least four games in their inaugural season.
