Utah Swimming Hosts BYU for Exhibition Relay Event Friday

SALT LAKE CITY - Both Utah swim teams will splash into their seasons on Friday with their annual exhibition relay meet with BYU. The meet is scheduled for 5 p.m. and admission is free to the public.
"I am very excited to kick off the season this Friday," head coach Joe Dykstra said. "We have had just a short bit of training so far but the attitudes and effort have been remarkable for such a young team. This meet is always so much fun for both teams and the fans, with unusual events, mixed relays and more. It should be a blast Friday afternoon."

The meet consists of coed relays, 3x50's, and several other events. The regular season meet between these two teams will be held in Provo, Jan 31-Feb 1. Diving will take place Friday night before swimming competition on Saturday.
Utah holds its annual alumni meet next Saturday morning during Homecoming Weekend. The first dual meet of the regular season is set for Fri., Oct. 4 against Arizona at Ute Natatorium.
