Four Former Utes Ready For Reese's Senior Bowl

MOBILE, Ala. – Four former University of Utah football players are set to compete for the North team in the 2020 Reese's Senior Bowl at Ladd-Peebles Stadium on Saturday, Jan. 25. in Mobile, Ala. The game is set to kick off at 12:30 p.m. MT.
Defensive back Terrell Burgess, defensive tackle Leki Fotu, defensive end Bradlee Anae and linebacker Francis Bernard will all be a part of the North squad on Saturday, joining seven other athletes from the Pac-12. Fotu, who has been attending practices and participating in team events, will not play in the game.

Francis Bernard | Linebacker | Herriman, Utah
First-team All-Pac-12 in 2019 … played in two seasons at Utah after transferring from BYU … 26 games at Utah with 16 starts … two-time Pac-12 Defensive Player of the week in 2019 … finished second on the team with 85 total tackles (7.5 TFL), adding two interceptions, one forced fumble and a pass breakup as a senior … had three double-digit tackle games in 2019, including tying his career-high as a Ute with 12 against Northern Illinois and Washington State … also had an interceptions against Washington State racked up 10 tackles against Oregon in the Pac-12 Championship game … returned an interception for a pick-six against BYU (58 yards).

All-Pac-12 honorable mention as a senior … played in 45 career games at Utah … started all 14 games at strong safety in 2019 … finished third on the team and first among the secondary in total tackles in 2019 with 81 (7.5 TFL, 0.5 sack), also recording five pass breakups, one interception and two fumble recoveries … career-high 12 tackles against Oregon in the Pac-12 Championship game, also recording a pass breakup … 10 tackles (1.0 TFL) at Washington … nine tackles (1.5 TFL) and a fumble recovery against UCLA … interception return for 29 yards at USC … started his career at Utah splitting time between receiver and defensive back as a redshirt freshman … two-time Pac-12 All-Academic selection.
