As we prepare for the lacrosse season, we'll get to know the newcomers on Utah's team. Today is Stewart Vassau, a midfielder from Mercer Island, Wash.
What is your favorite lacrosse memory?
My favorite memory is blowing out our rivals in the state championship game my senior year.
What is your favorite sport besides lacrosse?
Aside from lacrosse my favorite sport would definitely be skiing, I usually go every chance I get.
What do you like to do in your free time?
In my free time I usually like to hang out with friends or listen to music but depending on the season I would prefer to hike, climb, and ski.
Why did you choose Utah? What is the best thing about Utah?
I chose Utah because I really wanted to stay on the west coast and it's such an amazing place to live. I would say the best thing is the mountains.

The endless food options.
What are your goals for this year?
This year I'm looking to contribute in any way I can to get us into the tournament and hopefully do some damage while we're there.
What are your pregame superstitions?
Nothing like a pregame PB & J.
What is your major and what do you want to do after you graduate?
Not totally sure what I want to major in, probably something in business. After I graduate I'd like to eventually work in the outdoor industry and maybe start my own company.

New Zealand

What is the best piece of advice you have ever received?
Life is too short to worry about the small stuff.
