Timmy Allen named Second-Team All-Pac-12 Monday afternoon by the conference office.

This is the first all-conference honor for Allen after collecting all-freshman team honors last season and the first sophomore since
Jakob Poeltl (2016) to earn All-Pac-12 honors. The Mesa, Ariz., product is averaging 17.5 points, 7.3 rebounds, 3.0 assists and 1.2 steals at the end of the regular-season with six double-doubles. He also led the Utes in scoring and rebounding in 21 of the 30 games.

Allen reached double-figures in all but two games in league play while posting 20-plus points in four games. In conference play, Allen was 10th in scoring (15.1ppg), eighth in rebounds (7.2rpg), tied for 11th in assists (3.2apg) and seventh in steals (1.6spg).

Heading into the conference tournament, Allen is just 1-of-8 players to average 17.0 points, 7.0 rebounds, 2.5 assists and 1.0 steals in the nation according to Basketball-Reference.com and the only player from a Power 5 program.

Allen and the Utes are set to open the Pac-12 Tournament this Wednesday, March 11, at 1 p.m. (MT) on Pac-12 Network against Oregon State in the No. 8 vs. No. 9 game to kick-off things off inside T-Mobile Arena.
