DENVER – Utah's
Guro Jordheim and
Joachim Lien have been selected as United States Collegiate Ski Coaches Association Skiers of the Year, Jordheim for women's Nordic and Lien for men's alpine.
Jordheim, who was also RMISA women's Nordic Athlete of the Year and league MVP, tied for the league lead this season with five victories and led the league with nine podium finishes, finishing outside the top five just once during the season. She finished third in the 5-km freestyle at the NCAA Championships and will finish her career with seven All-America honors, missing the chance to compete for a career maximum eight after the remainder of the championships were cancelled. Jordheim finishes her Utah career with 17 career race wins and 29 career podium finishes, leading the Utes to two NCAA titles (2017, 2019).
Lien led the league with six victories in men's alpine (four slalom, two giant slalom) and eight podium finishes. He earned All-America honors in the giant slalom at the NCAA Championships with a third-place finish. Lien also earned RMISA men's alpine Athlete of the Year and league MVP honors this season. In two years, he has 11 career podium and 15 career top five finishes.
