Fans can get an early look at the 2022 Utes with free admission at Smith’s Ballpark
SALT LAKE CITY – Fans can get an early preview of the 2022 Utah baseball team on Friday as the Utes host BYU at Smith's Ballpark in a 4 p.m. matchup. Admission is free for all.
In accordance with state law, the University is not requiring attendees of University events to wear masks, or to prove vaccination status. However, consistent with the U's messaging, Utah Athletics is strongly encouraging fans to wear masks when attending games, in the interests of health and safety.

It's the beginning of a new chapter for the Utes in '22, the first for the squad under the direction of head coach Gary Henderson. Henderson, the NCBWA National Coach of the Year in 2018, takes the helm after serving as associate head coach the last two seasons under former longtime Utes skipper Bill Kinneberg. Henderson rounded out his staff last Summer with the addition of assistant coaches Todd Guilliams, Mike Brown and Troy Squires.
