PARK CITY – The Utah Nordic team closed out the RMISA Invitational hosted by Westminster and Solider Hollow by putting an exclamation point on the meet by securing their fourth meet victory after another dominant day of racing.
The team totaled 762 points total and the Nordic team picked up 412 points over the last two days. The next closest competitor was Colorado with 312 points.
It's the second time this season as a team they've had over 700 points and the second time this season the Nordic team has scored over 400 points in a day. The other time was at the Colorado Invitational when the team finished with 708.5 points and the Nordic team totaled 407 points.
"Everyone on the team skied amazingly well in these two races," Director of Skiing
Fredrik Landstedt said. "Soldier Hollow once again organized top quality competitions and the weather was incredible with lots of sun and fast snow. We are now looking forward to the RMISA Championship on Friday and Saturday."
Samuel Hendry and
Novie McCabe both secured wins on the afternoon. It's Hendry's second victory this season and McCabe's fourth victory.
The other Utes weren't far behind as the men placed three in the top five and the women placed five in the top seven.
Bjørn Riksaasen continued his strong racing finishing in second place.
Luke Jager came in fifth,
Ola Jordheim came in ninth and
Noel Keeffe finished in 14
th.
On the women's side,
Mariah Bredal had a great race finishing in third securing her second podium of the season. Then, Utah went on a run as
Julia Richter came in fifth,
Karianne Moe came in sixth and
Sydney Palmer-Leger came in seventh.
Abby Jarzin was just outside the top 10 finishing in 13th.
The dominant performance over the last two days pushed Utah's lead to 148 points giving them the victory in the RMISA Invitational hosted by Westminster and Soldier Hollow.

Miles Havlick said. "Big thanks to the organizers and volunteers for all of their hard work. It's been really fun to have the full team back together and pushing each other every day in practice and on the race course. We are looking forward to Regionals this weekend and carrying this momentum to the championships."
The Nordic team will be racing once again this Friday and Saturday at Soldier Hollow in the RMISA Championship. They will be the final races before the NCAA Championship March 10-13.
