The Utah beach volleyball program fell to #18 Long Beach and Boise State on the tri week as they started off the weekend in California.

LONG BEACH, Calif.- The Utah beach volleyball program fell to #18 Long Beach and Boise State on the tri week as they started off the weekend in California. Utah lost to both teams 5-0.

Utah took on LBSU in the morning with Grace Andrews and Keana Smalls falling after a good second set, losing 21-18 after a tough 21-9 loss in the first set. Olivia Teerlink and Camille Lee had two close sets on the third court going 21-16 and 21-17. Hannah Stahle and Kaiya Liwanag rounded out the group with a strong first set going 21-18.

The Utes then took on Boise State in the afternoon, led by Sage Patchell and Marissa Koch on the first court with a close second set of 21-17. Andrews and Smalls had another close second set going 21-18 and Teerlink and Lee had another two close sets, losing 21-16 and 21-17. Stahle and Liwanag finished off with a strong first set of 21-18.
