SEATTLE –
Cara Woolnough had a great start to her indoor season capturing the 5,000m title with a mark of 16:13.41, the second fastest time in program history, on Friday to kick off day one of the UW Invitational inside the Dempsey Indoor Track.
Bailey Kealamakia got things going for the Women of Utah in the 60m hurdles and tied her career-best with a time of 9.10 for sixth-overall while
Ruby Jane Mathewson clocked in at 9.39 for eighth overall.
Kealamakia ran a 25.71 in her first 200m race while freshman
Megan Rose clocked in at 26.50.
Lauren O'Banion checked in with a mark of 25.77 while
Kelise Davis crossed at 26.00 flat.
Ruby Jane Mathewson and
Taylor Watson rounded out the 200m race with times of 26.57 and 26.92, respectively.
Utah returns to Dempsey Indoor Track on Saturday to close out the two-day meet, starting with the 3,000m at 10:30 a.m. (MT).
