No. 8 Utah takes on No. 11 Penn State in the 109th Rose Bowl Game in Pasadena
SALT LAKE CITY – The eighth-ranked Utah Utes return to Pasadena for the second year in a row to play in the Rose Bowl Game presented by Prudential, fresh off a repeat performance as Pac-12 champions. The Utes and the 11th-ranked Penn State Nittany Lions will meet at 2 p.m. PT on Monday, Jan. 2, 2023, in the Rose Bowl Stadium.
The 109th Rose Bowl Game is Utah's fourth New Year's Six bowl game, following appearances in the 2005 Fiesta Bowl, 2009 Sugar Bowl and 2022 Rose Bowl.

Utah fans continue to show their passion for the Utes after off a strong presence at the Pac-12 Championship Game in Las Vegas on Dec. 2, having purchased more than 30,000 tickets through the Utah Ticket Office for the 2023 Rose Bowl Game, surpassing the 30,000 mark in sales for the second consecutive year. This total will combine with all tickets purchased by Utah fans through the Rose Bowl Game and other outlets, creating a strong representation of Utes fans wearing red in the stands on game day.
Stadium gates open at 11:30 a.m. PT. Fans are encouraged to enter the stadium early to avoid longer lines and to experience the Rose Bowl Game pregame entertainment, which begins at 1 p.m. PT.

The official smartphone app of the 109th Rose Bowl game can be downloaded through either the Apple Store or Google Play. The app contains up-to-the-minute updates on game-related information to help fans ensure a successful and enjoyable game-week and game-day experience.
DIGITAL TICKETS
All tickets for the game will be digital, and managed through both the official Rose Bowl Game app and the Rose Bowl account manager website. Fans with tickets are encouraged to download the Rose Bowl game app from either the Apple Store or Google Play, and then log in with the username and password that is used to manage their Utah Football tickets on the Utah Tickets app, or use the same credentials to login to the Rose Bowl account manager. Those who purchased Rose Bowl tickets are encouraged to download their digital game tickets to the wallet on their smartphone before leaving for the stadium. Fans from both teams join together to give back to the greater Los Angeles community. Space dictates that only 50 volunteer registrations each from the University of Utah and Penn State University can be accommodated for this event, for 100 total volunteers. The first 50 Utah registrants will be confirmed, and any additional registrants will be put on a waitlist, and will be contacted as spaces open up. Registration is required to attend.
SUNDAY, JAN. 1, 2023
University of Utah Pep Rally
12-1 p.m. PT
The Bloc (700 W. 7th St. in downtown L.A.)
Hosted by Voice of the Utes Bill Riley, the free Pep Rally will be an opportunity for Utah fans to gather and celebrate their pride in the Utes one day ahead of the battle with Penn State. President Taylor Randall, A.D. Mark Harlan, football alumni, select members of the Pac-12 champion Utes, the marching band, spirit team and Swoop will highlight this exciting free event. Promotional t-shirts will be given to the first fans in attendance and "Unwavering Belief" rally towels will be available to all fans.
The University Bookstore will host a pop-up location on the street level at The Bloc where fans on-site can purchase Utah Utes Rose Bowl merchandise. Days and hours of operation are:

Rose Bowl Stadium Lot K
Free to the public and includes a beer garden, games, Rose Bowl Game merchandise, and photo activations. Don't miss the chance to take your picture with the Rose Bowl Game Leishman Trophy and spend the day with other fans while enjoying a variety of entertainment— including participation from team bands and cheer squads, an on-site DJ, exclusive giveaways, and big screens showing the day's football games. Ticket are required for this pregame tailgate, which will feature unlimited food and drink, exclusive Rose Bowl giveaways, appearances by the marching band, spirit team and Swoop, and live entertainment from the Blue Breeze Band. Tickets may be purchased here.

Located on the golf course, north of the stadium
The Rose Bowl Game Public FanFest presented by Honda is open to all ticketed guests and free of charge. FanFest activities include interactive games, TV's, music, and more.
