
McCloy Sets New PR in 200m to Pace Utes Friday

Makenna McCloy led a group of four Utes competing in the 200m dash at The Podium with a new PR.
SPOKANE, Wash. – Utah sophomore Makenna McCloy posted a new PR in the 200m to lead a group of four Utah track & field runners Friday in the WSU Open portion of the meet inside The Podium.

McCloy won her heat on her way to a new PR in the 200m with a time of 25.84. Taylor Watson ran a 26.03 for a new season-high while Megan Rose posted a time of 26.52 – which was just .02 off from tying her personal best of 26.50. Running the indoor 200m for the first time in her career, Rachel Whipple clocked in at 26.84.

Competition ramps up on Saturday, Feb. 5, for the Women of Utah starting with the 60m hurdles at 1 p.m. (MT). Fans can catch the action live with a RunnerSpace+ account.
