BOULDER, Colo. – The 2022 NCAA Champion Utah ski team had 21 members of the program named to the United States Collegiate Ski Coaches Association All-Academic Team, announced on Wednesday by the USCSCA. It ties the Utes with Denver for the most student-athletes lauded from an RMISA program, and tied for third-most amongst all teams nationally.

Josefine Selvaag,

From the Nordic side, Utah was represented by
Karianne Dengerud,
Walker Hall,
Samuel Hendry,
Luke Jager,
Abby Jarzin,
Noel Keeffe,
Sophia Laukli,
Novie McCabe and
Sydney Palmer-Leger.
Across the country, a total of 361 student-athletes were recognized on the USCSCA All-Academic Team, which comprises all NCAA and associate members in the three ski regions: the RMISA, the Central Collegiate Ski Association and Eastern Intercollegiate Ski Association. To make the team, skiers must have a 3.5 cumulative grade point average, matching the highest GPA requirement of any coaches association academic team nationally, and skiers must participate at one of the three regional championships.
It was another incredibly successful year for Utah, which won its 15
th national championship in program history and 14
th NCAA title. The 2022 crown was the third consecutive NCAA team championship for the Utes as well as the team's fourth in the last five completed national championships.
Sophia Laukli (women's 15K freestyle) and
Novie McCabe (women's 5K classic) won individual NCAA Championships, and 14 All-America accolades went to Utah skiers across the alpine and Nordic races.
