Redshirt Freshman Running Back Ja'Quinden Jackson On the switch to running back…
"When Chris (Curry) went down they needed someone else and I was told I was our emergency back. I took a couple reps at running back and they liked what they saw and went from there."
Last time remembered playing running back…
"I played running back my sophomore year of high school."
How important is it for you to get on the field…
"I found my joy again. I had fun being out there and playing again and I found my joy again."
To keep growing at the running back position…
"Just keep working and keep working at the craft of being a running back. I need to listen to Coach Quinten and build on top of what I am doing now. I am still learning the footwork. I have the reads down and its natural for me."
Junior Tight End Thomas Yassmin Journey of getting to where he is today…
"Coming in I thought the journey would be somewhat shorter to get the point where coaches can put their trust in me. It has been a long road but after this weekend the coaches have their trust in me now to step up and try to fill in the role. I am going to make the most of what I have now and take that on 100 percent."
How surprised where you when you found out it was your time…
"At first, I was heartbroken, Brant (Kuithe) has been one of my best friends for four years now, its hard to see because of that situation. I am glad the coaches have the belief in me and they believe I can go out there and do things I am good at and use my body the way I can and make the most out of the opportunity."
 A full week of prep…
"Honestly, the coaches are really good at getting the ones and twos even amount of reps so when situations like this, that when guys go down the twos can make the most of the situation and the offense can still run at 100-percent."
Sophomore Defensive Tackle Junior Tafuna How is the season going for you…
"I am blessed to be in the position I am to play next to the boys. I think things are going well with the group and how we are playing and performing and things are going well."
What has changed over the last four weeks…
"Our mindset. The first week wasn't how we wanted it. Since we have bounced back from the first week, our main focus has been where do we want to go and where do we want to be. We had to bring back the swagger and confidence to our minds."
What's the pride like to limit a team to so few rushing yards…
"It means a lot. It just shows how hard we have been working and what we have been working for. It is crazy, but it's just a reflection of how our mindset has been and how technique has been. It just reflects on the great coaching."
