LOGAN, Utah – The Utah track & field team had a solid day of competition at the Speed & Power Meet hosted by Utah State at George Nelson Fieldhouse on Saturday with movement on the all-time list to go along with several PRs.

Josefine Ericksen got things going for the Utes along with the rest of the 60m dash crew and tied for the third-fastest time at Utah with a run of 7.61 (aa) to capture the crown in her first race in this event.
Kelise Davis ran a PR mark of 7.72 (aa) in the prelims before taking second behind Ericksen in the finals while
Megan Rose completed the podium sweep for Utah with her own PR run of 7.81 (aa). Davis's time moved her up one spot on the all-time list tying her for seventh while Rose's mark narrowly made the list tying her for 10th.

Both of
Malia Overton's times in the 60m dash were new PRs, but it was her prelim mark of 7.94 (aa) that was best.
Taylor Watson and
Delaney Gates also ran in the 60m dash with Gates competing in the event for the first time in her collegiate career.

Bailey Kealamakia saved her best run for the 60m hurdles final, running a new PR time of 8.98 (aa) while
Rachel Whipple competed in her first 60m hurdles race not associated with the pentathlon and tied her best mark at 9.06 (aa).

Ally Gomm and
Chloe Shewell finished 1-2 in the 400m for Utah with Gomm posting a PR time of 59.91 (aa) while it was Shewell's first time racing in this event.

Overton was able to record a top-3 finish in the long jump after leaping a PR mark of 5.13m (16-10) in the final jump while Whipple finished with a final mark of 4.82m (15-9.75). Whiple then rounded things out in the field events with a throw of 9.52m (31-2.75) in the shotput.

The Women of Utah will once again have a split squad next with the sprints team heading to Albuquerque, N.M., for the Don Kirby Invitational (Feb. 10-11) while the distance team returns to Dempsey Indoor for the Husky Classic (Feb. 10-11).
