Utah Captures U.S. National Relay Championship

Hendry, Dengerud, Bushey and Palmer-Leger raced on the winning team for Utah at the SuperTour finals
CRAFTSBURY, Vt. – Samuel Hendry, Karianne Dengerud, Brian Bushey and Sydney Palmer-Leger of the Utah Ski Team combined for a time of 45:49.9 as the quartet captured the U.S. National Championship on the club relay day at Craftsbury Outdoor Center.
Palmer-Leger pulled away on the final leg from both the Bridger Ski Foundation and Craftsbury Green Racing Project. The former included Utah Ski Team alumna Mariah Bredal on the final leg.
Utah also turned in a sixth-place relay result (48:25.9) with the team of Walker Hall, Celine Mayer, Noel Keeffe and Ezra Smith.
The Nordic team has been out in Vermont this weekend for the SuperTour finals. Utah had three top-eight results on Wednesday across the men's and women's 10K classic races, before Dengerud skied to the skate sprint podium on Friday with a second-place performance. A 44K classic race will close the weekend on Sunday.
