Palmer-Leger wins 44K Classic U.S. National Championship as Utes Secure NNF Cup

Utah Nordic team has been in Craftsbury, Vermont at the SuperTour finals
CRAFTSBURY, Vt. – Sydney Palmer-Leger of the Utah Ski Team was crowned a U.S. National Champion on Sunday, racing to a first-place finish (2:32:35.3) in the 44K classic mass start race at Craftsbury Outdoor Center.
The event capped nearly a full week of Nordic competition out in Vermont as part of the SuperTour finals. It included a 10K classic race on Wednesday, skate sprint on Friday and club relay event on Saturday. It also secured the 2023 NNF Cup for the Utes; the Cup is presented to the top-performing club team during the SuperTour season and includes a $3,000 cash prize to the program. Ezra Smith (11th) and Karianne Dengerud (12th) also raced for Utah on the women's side, while Samuel Hendry (5th) and Brian Bushey (11th) placed in the men's 44K classic.
