Tao Johnson | CB | R-Fr. On his transition from offense to defense…
"I got a lot of help. It wasn't easy. It's taken a lot of work, a lot of extra effort, a lot of early mornings and late nights with coaches taking time of their day to help me learn the defense and learn my technique. Coach Scalley, Coach Shah, [Jordan] Fogal, all of them; they've all been a great help in my development."
What skills can you carry over from wide receiver to corner?
"From being a quarterback, to receiver, to cornerback, that's all helped me. It's all helped me gain extra knowledge of knowing splits, knowing what offenses are trying to do to us and being a step ahead."
On competition throughout Spring and Fall camp…
"I love it. That's exactly what you hope for. You don't ever want to be in a place where you can get complacent because there's nobody on your tail or anything. It's been really great. Me and Smith Snowden, we're the nickels right now. We have a great relationship. We're helping each other get better every day, pushing each other to the max and trying to be the best we can be."
Jaren Kump | OL | So. Takeaways from the Florida game…
"I would say that we could have done better on our part. Of course, Florida is a very good team. Very big up front, very strong up front, very physical up front. But I felt like we could have done better. We've watched the film and know what we have to get better at. Now we're just moving onto the next game and getting those things worked out."
On the talent in the running back room…
"It's so awesome. We can throw any of (the running backs) in there. We have confidence they're going to get yards and touchdowns. They all know what they're doing and are so talented. I feel like all we've got to do is give them a one-yard gap and they'll find a way to get through."
Do you get butterflies with this being the first road game of the season?
"For me, butterflies come before every game, but once the first hit happens they go away. But that's nothing to worry about, that's a normal thing for every game."
Money Parks | WR | Jr. On the first play against Florida…
"I'd say it's a dream come true. Never thought I'd get the opportunity to make a play like that the first play of the season."
On Bryson Barnes and Nate Johnson…
"They did good. They've stepped up and become leaders for our team. We fell behind and fell in line for them."
 On Barnes' game…
"I love the way he competes. I love the way he takes on the game and how he keys in on everything he needs to do to help the team win."
