MATCH WEEK
Utah Volleyball will kickstart a three-match road trip, staying in-state and traveling to Provo to take on #24 BYU on Saturday, Oct. 19 at 7 p.m. MT.
Utah fans can tune in to ESPN+ on Saturday to catch the rivalry match between the Utes and Cougars. Jarom Jordan will provide the play-by-play, with Amy Gant on color for the call and Kenzie Dahle providing sideline coverage.
QUICK HITS
• Coming in at #20 in the most recent AVCA top 25 poll, Utah makes its way into the top 25 for the first time since being ranked 22nd in the preseason of the 2022 poll.Â
• Utah solidifies itself inside the top 20 after a pair of back-to-back top 20 Big 12 wins on its home floor against #17 TCU and #18 Baylor. The last time Utah won back-to-back matches on their home floor was 2019, after defeating then #7 Kentucky (3-0) and #23 Cal Poly (3-2) to begin the season during the Utah Classic.
• As a team, Utah has averaged 14.7 kills per set with 13.6 assists per set. From the service line, the Utes are averaging 1.6 aces per set. On the defensive side of the net, Utah is posting 15.8 digs per set with 2.4 blocks per set.
• Sophomore
Kamryn Gibadlo earned the first Big 12 Offensive Player of the Week honors for the program since joining the new conference and the first weekly award of her career.
• The last time Utah and BYU faced each other as ranked opponents was Sept. 16, 2021 in Provo, when the #7 Utes took on the #15 Cougars, falling in straight sets.
• Utah's trip to Provo will be the 109th meeting between the Utes and Cougars. BYU holds a 31-77 lead in the all-time series, having won four of the last five.
• The Utes hold a 10-47 record in Provo, falling to the Cougars 1-3 during the most recent meeting in 2023.
• Utah seeks its first win in Provo since taking down the Cougars (3-0) in 2019.
• Utah has won 10 of 17 matches by way of a 3-0 decision. Â
• Utah boasts a deep attack of four hitters averaging 2.0+ kills per set with a hitting percentage of .250 or better.

• Running the two setter system, Utah has seen great production out of newcomer
Isabelle Marco as she leads the Utes in assists per set at 6.04. Meanwhile, the veteran setter
Grace Hammond comes in at 5.26 assists per set.
AMONG THE NATION'S BEST
• Utah ranks among some of the best in the nation (3rd) and the Big 12 (1st) for kills per set, averaging 14.67.
• The Utah attack is top 20 in the country, coming in at 17th, posting a .278 hitting percentage, the Utes rank 3rd in the Big 12.Â
• As one of the most efficient hitting teams in the nation, Utah ranks 4th in the nation in assists per set at 13.55 and 2nd in the Big 12.
• The Utah defense has held its opponents to a .153 hitting percentage, ranking them 14th in the nation and 2nd in the Big 12.Â
• At the net, the Utes average 2.40 blocks per set ranking 4th in the Big 12.

Allie Olsen (35th) and
Emrie Satuala (43rd) crack the top 50 in the nation for hitting percentage. Olsen is averaging a .391 clip with Satuala posting a .381 hitting percentage.
BAD, BAD, GIBADLO
• Gibadlo has led the Utah attack 12 times this season, including the last six consecutive matches, putting down 13 kills against TCU and 11 kills against Baylor.
• Through the last two Big 12 matches, Gibadlo finished with 24 total kills, posting a .309 hitting percentage, making just seven errors on 55 attempts.Â
• She put away a season-high 17 kills in the Big 12 opener against Texas Tech and would have her most efficient game against Coppin State, hitting .533.
• On the season, Gibadlo has put away a team-high 198 total kills, leading the Utes with a 3.41 kills per set average. She also leads Utah from the service line with 22 aces.

The Utes will continue their road stand, making their first trip to the Sunflower State as a member of the Big 12, taking on Kansas State on Thursday, Oct. 24 at 7:30 p.m. MT. Utah will close out the three-game road trip, traveling to Lawrence to take on #8 Kansas at 2 p.m. MT.
